Sorry about the laugh, luckily you're alright, but so many slaps one after the other becomes funny.

But hey! Let's look at the bright side:

It could have been a lot worse (without taking in consideration that it could be not templated glass!): The table exploded more likely because when you pressed the start button the laptop released an electricity discharge (which may cause glass break).
This means you could have been electrocuted!

So you should be extremely happy that you have such good luck (bruises and cuts are a good thing when compared to death) and go out and celebrate wildly your recent rebirth!
